What is an ARK?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"684\">An <strong data-start=\"507\" data-end=\"538\">ARK (Archival Resource Key)<\/strong> is a globally recognized type of PID designed to ensure that digital objects remain accessible and citable, even if their web addresses change.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"686\" data-end=\"689\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"768\">3. How do institutions mint ARKs?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1306\" data-end=\"1463\">Authorized institutional staff can log in to the NgREN PID service (via the Django admin interface) to <strong data-start=\"1409\" data-end=\"1440\">mint, bind, and update ARKs<\/strong> for their resources.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1465\" data-end=\"1468\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1470\" data-end=\"1519\">6.
